Strawberry Tzatziki

If there is something that can induce the feeling of summer, it's the taste of fresh strawberries.
Typically, you use strawberries in the sweet kitchen, it actually lends the sweet berries quite excellently in the salty kitchen too.
I often use strawberries as the sweet element in salads. But I also use them in dressings.
Taste entities such as pepper and basil compliment the strawberry. But the sharp flavor of garlic also fits surprisingly well with the sweetness of strawberries.

Strawberry Tzatziki:
Every time I have served this tzatziki, it has been praised. It is absolutely fantastic! Try it yourself and be amazed at how good strawberries and garlic fit together.

  • 2 dl skyr / greek yogurt / sour cream
  • 250 g of strawberry
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 10 leaves basil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Mini romaine lettuce serving

Rinse the strawberries and let them drain.
Stir skyr / greek yogurt / sour cream with salt and pepper and grate the garlic coarsely into the mixture. Add salt to taste.
Chop the strawberries into small cubes and stir them together with the mixture.
Arrange a few tablespoons strawberry tzatziki in each lettuce leaf and garnish with basil.
Serve salad leaves with strawberries tzatziki as a light appetizer on the terrace with a cold white wine or use it as an accompaniment to fish or chicken.
